Gardening Heels

Today I decided to explore. I wanted find a way to the roof of the building I live in, and in the process I accidentally set off the building's alarm (it certainly did its job scaring me away from going onto the roof).

Discouraged from this mode of action I decided to check if the garden on the corner was open (it never is) and was pleasantly surprised to see it was quite, quite open. As I stepped inside I found myself lost in the midst of a fairytale...

secondhand peach nightgown over a black slip
marc  jacobs belt given to me as a gift
skull necklace from a little importing place in soho

Summertime and the living is easy

I was trolling through the tea drinking english rose and found this fun little doozy- the flickr game. Effervesce

One cannot elucidate sexiness. Sexy can't be defined, established, grounded and rooted, and when one tries to define it, to compartmentalize it, as humans have such a necessity to do, it's essence is destroyed. Sexy is something that will forever elude our minds, and that will forever cause our curiosity to be awakened. Perhaps that is the allure of sexiness-the intangibility of it. Perhaps we are so enamored with it because we will never be able to fully grasp it, only to fleetingly understand and revel in it.

Summer in the city means cleavage, cleavage, cleavage

This is what I wore today, er, tonight. I did nothing today. Nothing being sitting around all day making a pair of ordinary gym shorts into an extraordinary little skirt (seen above) and watching movies.

I threw on this outfit right before I went out to yoga, because I felt I should put some effort into something today, and really liked the outcome. I feel very bad ass and James Dean-esque in it. Or like I should be in Greece (the musical). Not sure why.

Anyway I always like seeing what I wore today posts on other blogs, so I'm going to start doing more of them (hopefully). I've stayed away from them because my camera is the definition of a shitty piece of crap, and I am very self conscious of my body at this point in time, and feel like I can't take decent photos, but that's a different story. In any case, I will make a larger attempt to do what I wore posts.

bisous amores.

dimelo amor

This is the way my day went:

yoga*

lust at the american apparel in soho

some pretty kick ass graffiti also in soho

witnessed the to-be-gloriousness of the first stateside topshop for myself

went grocery shopping without buying anything, just drooled over the cheese
(gruyere reminds me of Pushing Daisies, and Tillamook reminds me of home)

ran into aggy agg on the street and nearly peed myself. Seriously guys, I've never mentioned it on here, but I have some serious LOVE for this girl. I saw her in the lower east side, and looked over, literally stopped in my tracks and watched her (she was perched atop her bike waiting for someone it turns out). I was too timid to talk to her (mostly because all I could have said was ohmygodiloveyouyouaresogorgeousandperfectandcanwetradelives? and then I would have sounded really lame), so I pretended to be texting someone and just stared at her. Then I followed her for a block. I'm a stalker.
walked past this restaurant which always reminds me of the song M79 by Vampire Weekend
saw a photoshoot in Tomkins Square park
Got some new sunglasses, and checked out Good Bye Lenin from the library.

Overall I'd say it was a pretty successful day, given that my goal upon leaving the house this morning was to wander soho and the lower east side until I spotted someone famous. Plus it was just nice to aimlessly walk all day. I think I got sunburned though.

Oh and I totally adore all of you.
